Prevention and elimination of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) needs to be part of an integrated and comprehensive strategy focusing on empowering young people with special focus on adolescent girls

Project Achievements

• An advisory committee to inform and guide the development of the programme curricula and material as well as the implementation of the project

• Skills development and career guidance curricula with topics/exercises related to girls’ empowerment and within the Life Skills and Citizenship Education Regional framework (LSCE),

• Capacity building ToT workshops for selected staff from the MoYS and/or NGOs on the training packages,

• Creation and capacity building of youth groups

• M&E system and database for the project.
